Our Story

Hadfield Tennis Club was founded in September 1969 by Rita & Bob Collins through their liaison with the local council. Back then, the club consisted of 4 red porous courts and a tin shed!

Things have changed a fair bit since then. We now have nearly 200 members and boast 6 under light courts as well as a fully functioning club room. We continually work with our members and the council to maintain and improve facilities, and we welcome all new and existing members to come enjoy tennis at a social, coaching, or competition level.

At Hadfield, there is a membership option for each of these levels.  See our Memberships page for more information.

Competition tennis is available to adults Tuesday (ladies), Wednesday (mixed), and Thursday (mens) nights, as well as Saturday afternoon.

Junior Competition is available on Friday nights and Saturday mornings.

“Hadfield Tennis Club aims to be the home of Tennis in the 3046”.

As a club we are in a building phase.  We are focusing on building our junior tennis offerings, and consolidating our position as a strong night tennis club.  Behind the scenes we are going through a digital transformation as we move toward online memberships and eventually court booking systems.
