It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Wolfgang Roeder - Wolf passed away yesterday 13th October, 2019.

Wolf was one of the founding members of the Hadfield Tennis Club in 1969, holding various positions at the Club over many years, including guardian and mentor from 1969 right up until yesterday.

Without Wolf and Neva, the Club would not be where it is today and we thank them and honour them for their contribution.

A Requiem Mass will be held at 11.30am on Saturday 19 October at St Thomas More Hadfield - 69 North Street, all who knew him are welcome.

Thank you everyone for the messages. These have been passed on to Neva. The service on Saturday was a nice one and a great gathering of Hadfield Tennis royalty to farewell Wolf.

Incredibly sad today, its hard to imagine HTC without Wolf Roeder, will miss our chats at Sunday socials, time to renew your rivalry with Bob... VALE Wolf!

May he test in peace! I will greatly miss him! Just loved seeing him every Sunday! As I am still overseas I can’t be at the funeral but I will be there in spirit! My sincerest condolences to NEVA!

RIP, Wolfy. A great teacher and a good sport

Ladies NSNTA Match Preview! 08/10/2019

C Grade 1:

Carla F and her team take the long trip down Sydney Road to take on a North Park side looking for a scalp against top of the ladder Hadfield. Mary P is sure to have an influence on the result of this one playing in number #4 Mary is playing some of her best tennis in recent memory.

A Reserve 2:

At home against Avondale Heights - the Margaret Harrison coached team are looking to get back on track after some inconsistencies have lead to close losses in recent weeks. Avondale Heights sit one spot above them on the ladder so this is a great opportunity for the ladies to get the chocolates against a team the bookmakers have winning this one.

D special find themselves one win outside the 4 in their first season together - stringing together some wins recently despite the loss of captain and spiritual leader Susan C. Lisa R comes in tonight to play at number 1 after a few weeks away and is sure to bolster the lineup as they look for a win away at Gladstone Park to creep into finals contention. Monday social recruit Elin L makes her second start tonight and is sure to bring the energy!
